Carb and intake matching
I am recieveing a edelbrock performer intake in a exchange and wanted to know just what kinda carb would go nice to top it of. Should I use a spacer? I was considering either a holley or a edelbrock since they are the more popular of carbs, but wanted to get the opinion of someone who knew alot about this. Thanks.

I see you're in CA.... what kind of car is this going on?
The Performer intake will take either a square flange or spreadbore carb, as far as bolt patterns go.

It's going onto my '84 z28. I haven't seen it yet but I am getting it out of a trade, I suppose whatever kind I want though. Which carb would have the better performance? or what brand?

Neither is an option. You'll have to stick with the stock carb, period. No options unless you don't care whether you can get a license plate for it or not.
The Performer will pass smog inspection, as long as it's one of the models with EGR provisions.
