If I were to go with a Holley

Well, with the engine in my sig what size/type do you think I should go with. I am looking for something that isnt to expensive. I currently am trying to get my ccc to work right on my 350 and am having some problems but am not sure that they are related to the carb. I am going to continue trying to get it to work for a while, but if I were to end up going with a Holley what moddle number and cfm should I go with. I was thinking that I would probably need around a 750 cfm vs carb. Would this be about right? If so what would be a good model number to look for. I will probably be trying to pick it up used if I go this route.

Thanks

Ben

I still doubt your problem is the carb, but to answer your question a 750vs will do you fine.

Momar, do yourself a huge favor if and when you by a carb-GET NEW!!! Otherwise you'll more than likely have to rebuild it or at least new seals, I've seen too many people try the used carb route and get burned unless they are getting it off a motor that has been running to date. Just to many little peices to dry rot/clog up, and *** knows who did what to them before you got it. Leave the ole lady to home a few weekends and buy new!!
Then your pretty much in the clear that it will bolt on and run like a champ right outta the box.

If I end up going with an aftermarket carb I may go this route, but at this point I am going to try to get my problem fixed whatever it may be(most dont seem to think it is the carb). I plan on going to fuel injection some time in the future, but it is expensive and right now I just want a running car.

Thanks

I know how that goes. Currently redoing mine exterior, exterior, drivetrain and exhaust. Talk about waaay to many irons in the fire. She's coming along though. Hopin to have the electrical stuff done and hopefully carpet installed this weekend, sucks cause racing starts in 2 months, got LOTS of small stuff to shore up.

Im using a holly 750 double pumper on my 350 and it works wonderfully. Its definitly more responsive than the Qjet, and really gives the engine some umph. Anyway, its a holly 4150, however, to replace the Qjey, your gonna need either a new sqarebore intake manifold or an adapter.

I realize that also. I am hoping that it is just the coil like was suggested as a possibility on another thread because it tested bad and I bought an accel coil on ebay and am just waiting for it. If that fixes it I doubt I will go with a aftermarket carb becase I may be buying an LT1 in a couple of weeks.
