Barry Grant AFPR, has anybody tried one?

I bought a BG afpr #171021 and the instructions were a little confusing so I called BG tech and I was told that I bought the wrong part. . But BG tells me it won't work. And the guy suggested part #170025.
Is there anyone who has any experience with the BG afpr that was recommended in that article?
It's an expensive part, and I can't return it if it's been used.

Thanks

It's hard to believe that I'm not getting any replies to this post, this part was one of two recommended in the how to do a carb swap article.
I'd really appreciate some feedback on this, the shop can't take it back if I try it and it doesn't work.

thanks

I don't know anything about the BG regulator. I can tell you when I did a carb swap on mine I bought a Mallory Three port regulator and it works fine. It's Part# MAA-4309 at www.summitracing.com
