why doesmy holley always seem to go out of adjustment
Ok, I have the holley 4160 600cfm with vac secondaries in my sig. It was completely overhauled not to long ago. One day the float level is to low then next day to high one day running rich (smell) next not as rich. One day it surges and the next day it seems fine. Is the Holley I have plague with problems? I did buy it used. One day I adjust everything to adjustment procedure, next day everything seems screwed up. Do you guys think I should get a Edelbrock? Keep in mind it has a new mechanical fuel pump. new floats and needle and seat and all new reusable gaskets. Have you guys had problems running your Holley on an incline like carramps? Oh and every ignition component has been replaced

You edited off your sig (need to click on that button again if you edit).
You either have an over-pressure problem, that sometimes overwhelms the needle/seat and sometimes doesn't, a sticky float, or contaminated needle/seat.
Don't do Edelbrock to yourself.

Most likely dirt in the fuel is your problem.
Causing the power valve to leak (intermident over-rich at idle and cruise) and the needle and seat to not seal. (intermident flooding) Get the little bronze fuel filters that go in the fuel inlet fittings on new holleys and reinstall them. Thats what they're for.
Also get a better inline fuel filter. Some of th pretty aftermarket ones don't filter out dirt worth a s**t.
