A little tuning help please

I just hooked up an Autometer A/F guage and found out I'm running rich. I'm about midway on the rich scale at idle, cruise, and WOT. The only time I hit Stoich is between shifts and decel. I had 66 jets in the carb and now I have 64 jets, and the car felt a little better, but it didn't do much for the reading on the gauge. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Start droping jet sizes until it start to surge then go up 2 sizes. I doubt it's a blown PV that problem tends to go rich even in decell. Just remember that 1850 has reverse mixture screws if some one changed the metering block that could cause a rich problem also.

Well I'm rather ignorant, I didn't know that the 1850 had reverse mixture screws. So that means to turn them counterclockwise to lean it out some? Also I don't think the PV is blown, but I was considering it might be leaking. Isn't it odd that I would need to run such small jets? Thanks for the advice.
