Need help picking a fuel pump
I'm switching my 383 from tpi to carb and just sold all my TPI stuff. Now I'm ready to buy the carb setup, but I need help picking a fuel pump. I've been looking at the holley blue, I'm thinking of running 2 pumps one for the motor and one for nitrous. I guess if I ran the same pump I could swap them over if one went out. Does anyone know how to plumb 2 pumps into the fuel tank. A guy at work suggested welding a sump onto the bottom of the tank and plumbing the 2 outlets and 2 return fittings in there. What kind of fittings do I need? Should I replace the stock fuel line? If you guys have any pics or diagrams of a good setup let me know. Thanks in advance.

I use two pumps on my camaro as you described. I like Carter electrics because they are cheap and reliable.

What is the rating on those pumps and where did you get them? How did you plumb them into your tank? I had TPI so I need a new pickup if I go through the top of the tank, what did you use?

I removed the intank pump and added an aluminum pickup tube inside the tank. Later on I'm going to make my own tank and have a sump with two 1/2" outlets.

I just made it by attaching a section of 1/2" aluminum fuel line to where the factory fuel pump attached. I bent it so that it goes towards the rear of the tank.
It will all be replaced with a sumped fuel cell in time but it works for now.
