Right now I am running a 670cfm holley street avenger.

Within 2 weeks I will have the following.

my 9.6:1 350 with:
stock vortec heads
lt4 camshaft with 1.6 roller rockers
edelbrock rpm air gap vortec intake
edelbrock TES headers
no cat
3'' hooker catback

I was thinking I could probably stay with the street avenger and make good power. I have every jet after #64 so Im sure I can get it tuned in right. Supposedly the 670cfm street avengers are good for 400hp. Im thinking ill be pushing ~340.

GM uses a 600 cfm holley on their 330hp vortec motor. I figure with my combo ill see more power than that. I hope so anyways.

What you have to do with the Vortecs for that cam is discussed in response to your post on the Tech forum, so we won't get into that here.

If your primary use is street driving, the SA will do fine. If you were buying a new carb, I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been doing fine with a 650 DP on my 396 for a couple of months. But, I've stepped up to 750 now, and it's still doing fine.

GM used long tube headers to get their 330 HP with that 600 carb, for what that's worth.

Even if they tested with longtubes I say I should still at least meet their mark. Full roller, better carb, and better intake.

BTW those vortecs are 64cc right?

670 will be just fine. You would probably see a small gain in power with a 750, but not worth the extra cost if you already have a good carb.
