my mallory is leaking fuel like crazy and i can't get below 5 psi on it,... i saw something the other day about someones doing the same but i can't seem to find the post. could someone give me a link to it or tell if i got it hooked up wrong.
the bottom of the reg is supposedly going to the tank and the side is going to the carb and fpr.
the book i have says thew tbi supply line is the thick one and the return is the small one is this true?

I can't help with the post find. I am running one of those as well using the TPI pump. Mine hasn't leaked since I got it. The supply line, which mine was the bigger of the 2, went to the side of the regulator. Doesn't matter which one on the side. The return goes out the bottom, to the tank like you said. In my case to the smaller of the 2 lines. I did have 2 lines going out of the regulator, one to the primaries, and one to the secondaries. Now I have just 1 line going to the carb through an Aeroquip fuel line. Where is your leaking at? Take the gas cap off, and see if it still leaks.

couldn't i put some resistors in series with the fuel pump fuse maybe just a real small amount of resistance???
i have 7/16 return line and i shrank the supply line from the hose beside the inside fender to the fpr to a 1/4 then it goes to the carn as 5/8 there are several outputs on the supply side of the mallory pump... hmmm i wonder if i could put another line on one of the pluged up outlets and run it in with the return after it leaves the fpr??? in theeory this could work.

I personally don't have one of those, so I don't know for sure, but it sounds to me like it may be hooked up wrong. The fuel flowing through it in the wrong direction, or perhaps the return not working, would cause it to leak and make it hard to get below 5psi..
