what is the diff
i am lookin for a used holley 650 double pumper, and i was wondering is there any holley 650 carbs that wont work on a chevy 350? i found a couple that are holley 650 spreadbore what does spreadbore mean? sry for the stupid questions i dont no that much about carbs yet, but i am learning.
is there anything i should stay away? i am looken on e-bay for the carb and i just wanna make sure i dont get something that wont work on my engine or is just not good for it.
is there a diffrence in a 650DB and 600DP? oh and what does CFM mean? let me no the number of the carb i should no get if any.

"Spreadbore" is a street/performance setup that uses small venturi for the primary side (the one you "normally" run on) for good economy and throttle response, and very large venturi for the secondary side (power or wide open throttle operation). "Squarebore" means all four venturi are the same (or very close to the same) size. The two types use a different bolt pattern, but a lot of street/performance intakes are drilled & tapped for both.
CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. It's a measure of the air flow through the carb at sea level with a certain vacuum pulling the air through the carb. The above site goes through how to determine the size you need. 650 or 750 is pretty good for the engine you describe in your sig.
This site give you good info on mechanical secondary carb size selection http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechSer...fo/TI-225.html . "DB" sounds like a fat finger to me (or someone who doesn't have a clue about what they've stolen and are trying to sell).
This would probably be a good # for you http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...C/0-4777C.html . You can add electric choke if you like.
