Edelbrock 1406 Conversion
Need info on going to 1406 edelbrock from non cc q-jet. What will I need other than the carb and adapter. How do I get the kickdown for the 700r4 right with the edelbrock. Also can I just cut the originol steel q-jet line and run rubber line and filter to the carb. ( I am going to bend and flare steel line so that the rubber will only be a temporary solution) Also does the edelbrock have an internal filter (like the q-jet) or does it need an external inline type. Also how will the 1406 compare to my (bogging 10mpg) q-jet in mileage, performance, etc.

Tab-F is for the TV cable.
Yes you will need an additional filter because it only has a screen inside the fuel inlet.
The 1406 is a good choice. They can give super response and it's rare to find an engine that one will bog on.

you will need an angle adptor if using a drop air filter, you may need a adptor for throtle cable and kick down. the one supplyed is for older gm cars.
