rubber fuel line to carb
Ok right now im running a rubber fuel line because i pinched the line that goes into the carb at the fuel filter my question is ...
i want to convert to a braided line but im cunfuse with all these AN sizes i dont know what that means ...
in short..
what size fittings to i need to connect the braided line to the carb?
...and i guess i need another fitting to connect it to the pump,
what size is that fitting?
stock quadrajet carb, stock fuel pump on the block

The an size of the line is multiplied by 1/16" to give the inside diameter of the hose, so -06 AN is 6/16" or 3/8".
Aeroquip has a kit with everything you'll need. P/N FCP0139, comes with 30" of -06 hose, an FBM1012 -06 straight hose end, FBM4032 -06 90 degree hose end, and a pair of FBM2108 adapters for the fuel pump and carb.
The only things you might want to add are some brackets to hold the hose down and keep it from moving around, the external braid is just like a file on anything it rubs against. Try an Aeroquip FCM3484 or check the electrical section at Home Depot or your favorite hardware store for a rubber-lined bracket with about a 5/8" I.D.
