2 questions

How much fuel pressure can a q-jet take?

and

How can i test to make sure my secondaries are opening up?

3-5 psi is plenty; more doesn't do any good.

Have someone sit in the car and push the pedal to the floor and watch the sec throttle linkage, if it opens, then, .... it opens; check the air valve tension, for a 305 it should be around 5/8 - 3/4 turn of tension. If both conditions are met, then they'll work like they're supposed to.

Well, I set my sec. air valve tension at "0" and use the slow acting vacuum brake canister (choke pull off) to control the opening rate. In fact when I turn my eng. off they flop open. When I start the eng. the vacuum brake moves to close the sec. air valve by that long green linkage.
