carb prob?

i have an 86 camaro with a pretty wild 355 and i run nos. currently i run a holley 650 double pumper. when i floor the car it stalls. my tranny needs to be rebuilt so i dont know if that would effect the hesitation. its a 700r4. the car does fine except for take off. is the carb bad?

Well, it ain't good. Usually a stumble or stall when you nail it real quick is the result of a malfunctioning accelerator pump system in the carb. It's the system that squirts gas through the accelerator pump shooters when you open the throttle real quick. Too much to type here without further info, but that's the first place I look for a stumble on quick throttle opening.

its not a defect, it needs adjustment. a new carb probably wont fix it
