750 dp and a 700r4??
whats the deal? I hear its not good to run a 750 dp with a 700r4 ?? is this so and why ?? is it the detent cable problem? is there a certain bracket I would need to run ?? help me out here guys...

Engine: pump gas 427sbc Dart Lil M 13.5:1
Transmission: Oldani TH400 w/ BTE 9" convertor
Axle/Gears: 31 spline Moser/full spool/4.11Rich
You can run any carb you want with a 700r4, just need to get the right cable bracket-can use the old one if the car was a V-8 carbed before you change carbs, then you just have to get the right adapter sold by holley as a kit that'll hook the detent cable upto the new carb.

Not very hard at all

Im currently running a 750 Holley DP/700r4 combo.
Had to fabricate the linkage to make it work though

Use the factory bracket off a carbed LG4 motor. Works great. Holley bracket is a POS.

If not available through GM...try a wrecking yard. You may have to use some spacers under the bracket ( Where the bracket bolts to the manifold ) if you use a Performer RPM or similiar High Rise manifold....but it's no big deal. I use alternator mounting bolt spacers and they work great.
