TBI to CARB.

Is there a custom aftermarket wiring harness that is sold for this swap, or do I just clip the wires that are no longer needed?

I'm wanting the engine compartment to look clean, don't need no loose wires hanging around.

I am going to be stroking my 305 & use Vortec heads.
I'm wanting to get rid of the TBI now and replace it with a carb.

I'm going to be ditching the pollution crap (smog pump, ect., No sniffers or visuals here.).
I am also wanting to keep the air conditioning & cruise control (have a lead right foot).

Is there a paticular bracket for my kickdown & cruise control that would hook up to the Edelbrock carb I am using?

I'm going to list everything that I currently have on my Must Order list for this rebuild. Let me know if I missed anything or if you would change anything.

All you need to do is retain the power and tach leads to the distributor, the battery cables to the starter and alternator.

The ecm harness will be seperate (more or less) and run into the right fender. You can just chop the wires, or unplug the harness.

Check into the fan as it may or may not be ecm controlled. I dont know. On my car it was a cc carb originally so it just has a fan switch in the intake manifold.

The previous owner just unplugged everything and left the wires hanging. I removed most of the wiring and then used a pc power supply as a 12v source and tested all the other wires. The power supply works well, if you short something by accident the supply just turns off.

It's supposed to be in the passenger side head. Maybe the previous owner screwed that up, too.

So if I unglug the ecm wiring all together I will still have control over my A/C & cruise control?

I'm not wanting to to be a screw up chop job.

That is why I came asking before I began ordering stuff. No comments on my list, so I assume it is workable.

You assume too much.

You posted on multiple forums; for this one, your list wasn't really on the table. I replied with my observations on your list on the other forum.

I'm sure you've been told this but you could save a lot of money on machine work and such by getting a 350 core and having it built or simply buying a 350 shortblock thats already done. As far as the fp gauge any company that makes quality gauges has them, not sure about sun pro and such.
