Hose Help

Well i just got done flushing out my radiator for the summer and i was re assembling the hoses i took off and i couldnt find where 2 go. One just goes to my intake off the snorkel. Now the other is a vaccum hose, should that go into the sensor? or should the other hose? Also could the left over hose possibly go into the carborator and i didnt see it slipped off? My is iddling really ruff as of late because of these hose problems. But before i did flush the radiator i did over heat really bad, could that have messed up my carb at all to where it would idle ruff and at a low RPM? I also have a problem thats been bothering me for a while, when i turn on my car it will start to idle fast after a while and then when i give it gas it drops back down to normal. It is a stock carb on a 305.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do. That's not a "problem".
