Do i need to changed Distributors for carb swap?

I currently have a LO3 all stock and im getting ready to do a carb intake cam and possible heads swap. To go to carb do i need a different distributor?

yes, you will need a non computer controlled distributor

the easiest way to go would be to use the older style hei distributers that dont require a computer

The page that 86z/92rs is the same one I used. It worked really good. Just have to splice into 2 wires. Its fairly easy.

i would look into the Mallory direct replaecent HEI units. They cost about $160.00 are billet and come with all the advance weights you'll ever need. I had my old HEI recurved and rebushed. I like it, but I went back to the Mallory.
