Running a 750 Q-Jet

My current set-up: 350 with vortec heads, edelbrock performer intake, xe268 cam, 700r4 with stock stall. Do you think its overkill to run a 750 q-jet on this set-up, I have one laying on a BB500 in the garage and I desperatley need a new carb.

GM ran Qjets on milder setups than that from the factory. What carb do you have now?

I run a holley 4160 600cfm, it runs pretty crappy and I think it may need more air/fuel, I'm already running yellow(very soft) springs in the holley so the secondaries open up real fast just doesnt run good. i dont feel like rebuilding the holley either.
