Hood Clearance
I'm putting on an Edelbrock EPS intake and Edelbrock carb how much hood clearance am I going to have for an air cleaner. By the way I'm using the stock 83 cowl hood. If anyone has done something like this and could tell me how much room between the carb and hood it would be appreciated.

doesn't seem like you're getting any responses. From previous posts, as far as I know you won't have much room at all, you'll need a very deep drop base air cleaner. however i'm not at all familiar with that intake. Perhaps five7kid could move this thread to the engine/general tech forum to get more responses?

The EPS is the latest version of the Performer. It should end up as the same height as stock. So, a drop base air cleaner is required.
