I'm broke and dont havethe money to buy a rebuild kit so I Was wondering if you guys know of any tricks to get the top hate of the carb off without breaking the gasket?
plus is it normal for the top hat on the carb to stick once I remove all the bolts or am I prolly missing something?

The two most commonly missed screws are the two underneath the choke plate. If you got those, and it still won't pop off, then the chance of saving the gasket is pretty slim.
