Carb vs. TPI
I'm trying to make a decision about what I should go with. I have a 92' Camaro L98 B4C. I have TPI now but wanted to know what the performance and efficiency difference is between the two. Whats better or worse about TPI or a Carb? This is my first rebuild if the question seems stupid to some of you.

Welcome aboard.
Generally speaking - no, make that very generally speaking:
- Carb will reduce fuel economy. How much depends upon how you set it up, and how you drive.
- TPI is better off-idle to the cruise range.
- Carb will improve power above 4500 RPMs.
- Carb will probably not be as good in cold or hot starting - but again, highly dependant upon the set-up and state of tune.
- Carb is less expensive to upgrade for more power.
- TPI is emissions-legal, carb in any form is not.
