difference between cc qjets

Are all cc qjets the same between 82 to 86 f bodys? I know trucks were different cause they had no tps sensor. I have an 85 truck cc qjet and it has a different mixture plugin from my 82 ta. Is there this difference in f bodys?

flames82ta,

There were a few F-Bodies (very few) that had the 2-Point MCS System (easily identified by not having a rich stop). Most have the 4-Point system. The only real differences I've seen are in the Idle Speed Control Set-up. Other than that, to the best of my personal knowledge they're all the same carb.

Kurt is correct. All US-delivered 3rd gen V8's with carbs had the feedback q-jet carb, as opposed to some Canada-delivered versions that had the described truck-type carb with the 2 stage accelerator pump.

There were some minor differences in calibration between the computer command q-jets, such as main jets and secondary rods/hanger. Some LG4 q-jets also had a limit to the AV opening (easily modified to allow full opening).
