I have a built 355ci with a lopey cam anyways when I hook up the vaccum advance on the dist. the lopiness almost goes away when I take the vaccum advance off the lopiness comes back and so does the power. whats up with that? I timed it with the vac adv off at 2000rpm and with the engine warm wat else could it be Thnaks BIll

I assume the RPMs drop when you unplug the vacuum advance and it starts loping again.
Sounds pretty normal for manifold vacuum source for the vacuum advance.
Most of us want the smoothest idle possible. Means the engine is running efficiently.
