vapor locking

vapor locking
I am getting vapor locking after driving a few miles. right now, i'm running rubber hose from the mechanical pump to carb. what have you guys done to stop the vapor locking? electric fuel pump? If so, what kind?

An in-tank, or near in-tank pusher pump will help out that problem. The factory added an in-intank pump on carb models in 86.
Make sure you're routing lines as far away from heat sources as possible. Heat wrap around the lines helps can help as well.
