Carb swap

I just picked up a '87 IROC with the LG4 engine. What is involved to change out the stock carb and intake with an air gap intake and Demon or Edlebrock carb? Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard.

Before answering your question, I'll ask one of you: Why?

The reasons I ask: 1) You've already got the best street performance carb you could ask for; and 2) The carb isn't keeping your car from going faster - other things are, and until you address them, you won't see any benefit from the change.

I'm looking to do some engine improvements. The carb change may not be the best. So where do I start?
