St St St Stumble problems...
I'm having problems with a fresh build up. When I hammer the throttle, it usually dies. If I rev it up slowly, I seem to have no problems. This car isn't going to be a racer, or a daily driver, just a toy. But, this is a really annoying problem. Set up is as follows:
1967 327 ci motor, less than 50 miles on a fresh rebuild done by a local Machine shop
Camel Hump heads, I believe them to be the version from the 300hp motors... (any way to confirm that??)
Edelbrock Torker II intake, Carter 625cfm "Race" carburetor
HEI ignition system, plugs at .035
Th350
1986 Firebird, originally a 305/700r4
I know this isn't much to go on, but anyone know why it dies if I slam it but will rev up if I'm slow on the pedal? also cannot bring the idle down past 900, anyone have a baseline setting for the carb to help me out with?
Thanks
Kael

where's the timing at? what is the fuel pressure set at? are the floats set properly? how's the accelerator pump setup? does it squirt fuel at the slightest throttle movement? etc etc
