New carb and intake advice
Looking to install an Edelbrock Intake Manifold :Performer/non-egr (part 2101) and an Edelbrock Performer 600 Carb (part 1406). Wondering what kind of Fuel Pump and Filter should I go with on this set-up and looking for any advice for anything else that will optimize this part of the upgrade. Thanks!

#1 - Can we assume you're talking about the '85?
#2 - Only the intake even comes close to being an "upgrade". The carb is a major, major downgrade (assuming your carb isn't FUBAR - and since you think this is an "upgrade", it seems safe to assume your carb isn't).
#3 - If you insist on proving for yourself that the carb is no upgrade, the stock fuel pump is just fine for the job. If it needs replacing, a stock replacement will be just fine for the job. Use an in-line 3/8" filter - I prefer the metal type, because the walls are thinner, which allows for a larger hole for the actual flow.

It's for the 85...so basically, you're saying stick with the Q-Jet?(it's actually working just fine...just don't care for all the caps over the vacuum lines). And thanks for the advice on the fuel pump.

lol yea.. those q-jets are fugly. After swaping from FI to carb I was presented with a decision.. q-jet.. or holly 650, I went with the holly. I actually got better gas milage!! lol.. had ecm issues. If the old holly wasnt such a hack job it would have ran just fine. The needles were replaced with jb weld lol, not my doing.
