linkage questions????

I have an 1983 camaro with the 305 crossfire motor. i just swapped the intake setup with a edelbrock preformer intake and a 600 cfm electric choke carb. my question is what do i need to do with my throttle and kickdown cable? i bought a edelbrock throttle, kickdown, cruise control bracket from westbay autosupplies but when i went to see how it would mount im totally confused where to bolt it in and which way to postion the bracket. is there a better bracket to use? or is this the one i want to use? the guys at westaby say this is what i should use but they didnt explain it very well. also what about the lenghts of my calbes do i need new ones? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you do a search on "bracket" on this forum, you'll probably get some pics.

I'm not familiar with the Edelbrock brackets, but I'm surprised no instructions are included.

The throttle bracket should mount to the last two bolts on the intake. Also, your current cables should work for your install. The bracket is designed to adapt oem cables to the aftermarket carb/intake setup. Edelbrock.com may have instructions for this, but I'm not sure.
