Using cross fire intake for 2x4 carbs
Using cross fire intake for 2x4 carbs
Does anyone know of anyone that has done this or knows of any pics of a cross fire intake that was used to run dual fours? I got a lower intake without the top for dirt cheap and was thinking of making a top plate for it. I know that the intake will flow like crap, but I'm not looking for performance here, just for looks. Thanks

It will work, I almost did the same thing a few years back. That manifold is based on the '68-69 Z28 crossram, which did use two Holleys. Just have to make a top plate and linkage that will work between the two carbs. The way GM had it setup on the '68-69 version was to have the rear carb facing forward and the front carb facing backwards, and IIRC the secondary linkage (DP carbs) on the rear carb was hooked up to the throttle linkage on the front carb.
Good luck, and get pics!
