carb questions

after looking through the message boards here and elsewhere, i have noticed that many people complain about the street avenger carbs. i was planning on upgrading my carb and buying a street avenger. i think my stock qjet is a 600cfm carb, should i stick with a 600 cfm carb or go bigger or smaller. i have a performer intake. my engine is a L69. also, what other carbs should i consider?

Demon carbs are great
also a larger carb tunned to the smaller motor will make more power if the car is for drag only (beware lots of knoledge need for carb tunning with this method)

Stick with your stock carb until you can explain with some authority why it's inadequate to your needs?

Quadrajet carburetors are EXTREMELY tunable... why would you want to ditch it? Are you afraid of the computer feedback for the mixture control? You have a lot of potential in your carb now; no need to spend money. Now is the perfect time to buy a Quadrajet manual and start learning.

If you need to drive your car everyday while you're experimenting then get another one at the wrecking yard and play with it while you are driving your car now...

Just some well-intentioned advice...
