Well ive succefully completed the carb swap and everything is now running smooth. Only complaint is it lacks idle to 2500 rpm power. Now at 2500-5500 it pulls real hard. Ive narrowed it down to three mods to do.
1. Torque converter 2400 stall $300
2. Cam 220/224 duration @ .50 .474 .474 lift 111lsa $300
3. Borg warner 9 bolt 3.70 gear set and installation kit. $300
Trying to get into the 13's as of now the car has
650 vacuum secondarie dual feed carb, Holley high rise street dominator intake, slp 1 3/4 headers/ y-pipe, gutted 3" cat, 3" power flo slp catback, summit hei dist. before the carb swap it went 14.4 1/4, 95mph, 2.2 60 foot, 9.2 1/8. As of now the car will stall up to 1300rpms, Gears are 2.77 posi, and cam is stock 207 213 duration @ .50 401 423 lift cam. It also has stock untouched heads.

Re: next mod
yeah a decent Converter will definatly raise your stall to get you into your power band better. A 3000 stall might work best for you. Since its a rather light car, it will most likely stall a few hundred less rpms (25 -28 ish). But it can depend on your engines power and torque output too. Also, them 2.77 gears you have are gunna require ALOT of your engines torque to accellerate quickly down low. You seem to have your car dialed in decently well, so id be willing to bet its the 2.77s that are causing you the troubles. A good converter will mask the problem, but upgrading to some steeper gears like a 3.42, will fix your low end accelaration problem and still give you some decent top end speeds.
