im 19 and new to all of this, i just bought a 1984 Z28 V8 305. i barely got a clue on whats going on with my car, im not to good with this stuff but you gotta start somewhere. I'm fixing up the car and im stuck. I cant find an air filter to fit it. i tried to take the one off of my 88' RS but it doesnt fit around the carburator, and i jsut bought a edelbrock air cleaner but i think i need to buy the spacer to put between. The car starts fine but tries to and sometimes does die when i put it into reverse. also when at a stop light it will try to die, but i just throw it into neutral and its fine, when it dies the check engine and choke lights go on but itll start right back up. i just want to know if it could be the carb or somthin worse thanks.
