Transmission: turbo 700r4 w/b&m megashifter

Axle/Gears: Stock.

Secondary AV Spring on quadrajet.

Hi,Does anyone know where i can get a spring for the secondary av tension.I took my carb off to do some further checking on my current problems,and found the spring to be completly distorted.Is it available in any rebuild kits?.I know that the av is held shut by the choke pulloff,is the spring needed as well?,and will it cause any driveability problems to run without it?.

It doesn't come in any kit that I've seen.

It's best to have the proper spring.

Try giving these guys a call http://www.carburetion.com/quadrajet.asp 1-800-994-2272. They don't list it that I've seen, but they've got more parts than they list.

Well, I have my A/V spring pretty much at "0" tension in fact when I shut the engine off the A/V's slowly open. When I start the engine the choke pull-off closes them. I also think that choke pull-off's have differant open/close rates so a lot would depend on thoes rates. Anyhow works for me.
