How to change throttle position sensor on Quadrajet 4bbl on 87' Firebird LG4, 305

I beleive the carb is an E4ME. What's involved in changing out the throttle position sensor? Thanks.

Airhorn has to come off (top). Slip old sensor out and new one in. Will need to be adjusted to spec voltage, which requires the special wrench to turn screw and a volt meter to monitor.

instead of the 'special' wrench you can use a roll pin, lightly tapped over the adjustment screw. when installing new tps you can use some heavy grease to hold the plunger in.

Hi guys....Go to you local Model RC Hobby store and pickup either 2.5mm or 3mm hex head socket bolts...perfect fit!! First you need to get the aluminum plug out that covers the adjustment screw! When you replace the airhorn...make sue the screw is backed out, carefully install the horn over top....you will need to use a knife blade or something thin to push the plunger down....just slide it in under the horn and wriggle it around...it's a pain, but it will go....careful not to damage the gasket!

good luck!
