Older built 327, lookin for more perf, and better drivablity! help!
so my dad and i are goin through his built 372 thats in his 74 camaro and were askin advice on what we can do for a more efficient runnin motor. the bottom is a stock 300hp 64 ss impalla block with heads off the 350 that was in the 74camaro. the cam is a factory option "offroad" cam that came in the 69 z28s. on top of that the motor has a edelbrock torker manilfold with a 650 holley DPer. the Ign is still the old points setup. this runs through some LT headers to a dual 2.5" exhaust. the trans is a m-21......we are not sure what the rear end gears are, all we know is there to tall. with that said what parts do we need for a high electronic Ign setup......can we get help with some part numbers or at least help lead us on the right path? also how would a electric fan setup help vs the stock pulley fan. also maybe thinkin about reworkin the exhaust and adding and X pipe.........what do you guys think? what elce could/should be done to make this thing run a lol better? thanks for the help in advance!

It would help would be to get rid of the 74 smog heads, and to use a more modern cam grind. The Torker intake is garbage too, a modern dual plane like a Performer RPM would be better.
