Carb swap, what to do with computer?
I'm just doing the finishing touches on my 91 formula. (info in sig) Can I scrap the computer and all the wiring, I saved a majority of it and stashed it away for now. I'm running a holley 650 dp w/ a converted points dizzy. I hardwired my fuel pump to the relay, it turns on when the key is on. So, can I get rid of the wiring and comp?

is it possible to leave the computer in there just so it can control tc look-up and the fuel pump?

ok so if i took the computer out, what would be the best way to control these things?

TCC: 1) a kit from Summit, Jegs, TCI, etc., or; 2) a normally-open pressure switch on the 4th gear port in series with a vacuum switch, or; 3) a driver-activated toggle switch in series with a vacuum switch. In all of these cases, the power would still go through the brake switch - these other things just complete the path to ground. Details can be found on the Transmission forum.
Fuel pump: Wire a switched circuit through the oil pressure switch. For priming purposes (although not pure), a parallel power path to the starter solenoid. If you're clever, through the timed relay.

Re: Carb swap, what to do with computer?
I used a toggle switch and a fuse for my fuel lpump and provided a new power line. I had to put to of the factory wires together on the rear part of the harness I used. Its been a couple of years and I belive there was a grey wire that was hot...I left my fuse box as all my lights and ACC work...
all the computer wiring harness where removed.
