anyone know how to do this

I just got my 1986 firebird back from an engine swap but it always stalls out when it drops past 500 rpm. anyone know how to increase idle rpm and btw i know nothing about carbs and what parts are called what

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
First, make sure all vacuum lines are properly hooked up and in good condition - no cracks, breaks, half-connected, etc.

Next, make sure the timing is properly set.

Finally, when all of that is verified, there is a screw on the driver's side of the carb that is used to adjust the idle speed. It should only be adjusted when the engine is at operating temperature and the transmission is in drive (parking brake applied, wheels blocked).
