i rebuilt my edelbrock performer today and was going to change the jets out but the primary jet on the passenger side broke. the top of it where the screwdriver fits broke so the jet is stuck in the carb... any ideas how to get it out without having to drill it?

You could try drilling out the center of the jet and using an easy-out, as much as I hate those things.
