Re: HELP, need Holley Advice

What you're talking about, I think, is the fast idle mechanism. It may have just fallen down too far to fix itself - its happened to me on my DP before. All I had to do was get a flat screwdriver under it, pull the throttle wide open (engine off) and pop it back up. It shouldn't take much force to do it. If it does, look elsewhere. Maybe you knocked the locking clip out of the choke blade rod when you were cleaning it, and its all out of alignment now.

Electric choke or mechanical? Electric should have 12v going to it at all times when the engine is running.

Re: HELP, need Holley Advice

All you have to do to free it up if it did indeed just fall down too far and bind up, like mine has done, is (without the engine running) take off the air cleaner, hold the throttle open a bit to take any tension off the fast idle cam (thats the red things name), and with a long flat screwdriver, gently pry it upwards. It shouldn't take much force to pop it loose - if it does, theres another problem somewhere.
