Why an LT1 if you're going to use TPI?

Putting TPI on an LT1 engine just doesn't make any sense. Putting a carb on an LT1 engine barely makes any sense.

If you have an LT1 engine, use the LT1 induction system and ignition. You can use upgrade or aftermarket parts if you like, but don't mess with any other type of induction or ignition.

If this isn't an LT1 engine, why are you even talking about LT1?

Re: HI

Have to admit, the LT1 heads....errrr top end all together is better than a TPI motor. So i see some legitimacy to it, if he found a cheap enough LT1. Well, they make a block off plate for the opti hole. Also your stock TPI belt drive would work if you could run a older WP, but you will just have to figgure somthing out.

There is nothing about the TPI that makes it something to put on an LT1 engine.

Nothing.

Re: HI

The fact remains, TPI on a stock LT1 motor will run better than on a TPI motor. I am thinking of using a TPI setup on my 95 camaro with a LT1 intake on a 383 small block. I cannot run a opti.

Sure...

But you're still wasting your time and money putting TPI on an LT1. You're better off running a complete LT1 motor.

Re: HI

Why not just get the LT1 Intake thats modded for the distributor hole like people use when upgrading a TPI car?
