I'm having problems tuning my carb and need some guidance before I either send it to a shop or buy a brand new carb. I'm currently running rich, the car starts to stall when I try to get on it, and the car will stall out when I come to a stop at a stop sign.
I'm running a 700DP with 65/66 primary jets and 80/80 secondary jets, 30cc accel pump 31 squirter on the main barrels and 50cc accel pump 40 squirter on the secondary barrels. My engine is a 355, RPM Air Gap, IK180 heads, 10.5:1CR, cam is 224/231 @.050 .509I/.512E. Yes the primary jets are diff sizes (came that way when I bought it and I dont have extras laying around). I would appreciate any help on which directions to go. I was thinking smaller secondaries and maybe smaller squirter on the secondary???

Re: Need help tuning my Holley.
buy a jet kit and learn how to read plugs. search google or this board, hundreds of posts on it. When you get on it may be a lean spot which would need more squirter, but until you do some searching and post more info we have no idea.

That's some weird secondary tuning. 76 jets, 31 squirters, 30cc pump should be fine.

Adjust the throttle blades so you have the transition slots exposed approximately the same as they are wide. You have to have the carb off and upside down to see/do this. Do this for both the primaries and secondaries. Adjust the idle mixture from there.
