I just purchased this engine from tuff dawgs 3 days ago.

My brother had a brand new edelbrock 750 still in the box. (1407)
the website recommends a holley 650 but thats $400. So is the edelbrock gonna work correctly on that 327 or will it just drink gas and perform poorly?

A Holley 650 DP would be my recommendation.
The Edelbrock will "work". If it drinks gas, it's improperly tuned. If it performs poorly, well, it is an Edelbrock. . .
I'd want to know the specifics of the heads & cam.
