hood fitment???

ok I'm swapping in a 5.7 with 2.02 double hump heads and a performer RPM single plane intake with a holly 750 CFM carb, no spacer and 2 carb gaskets. I was wondering if I will need a special air filter or if it will even fit under my 89 RS hood. Thanks in advance, Trey

Performer RPM is a dual plane, not single plane, intake. And I hope those old school heads have had hardened seats installed.

Re: hood fitment???

Just installed a set of 186 double humps, edlebrock RPM and a holley750 dp and it cleared once I removed the functional hood flap syatem from under the hood with a drop base air cleaner. Its really close though. I had to remove the flaps for the time being so I can see the clearane and it is like 1/4 inch or so from the wingnut.
