m-hangers and dr-rods
will i get better proformance with m hangers and dr rods in a lg4 motor with edlebrock air breather and flowmaster exhaust?
Re: m-hangers and dr-rods
If it's got the stock CH rods like the LG4 carbs came with the answer is usually yes. You probably won't find an M hanger from the aftermarket, but you can probably find something around a K which will be plenty close.

Re: m-hangers and dr-rods
M-hanger and DR rods were stock in alot of fullsize truck/van 305s. They made about 30 HP more than the the LG4 of the same year. F-hanger and DR rods will run even better. 90% or more of your driving will be on the primaries. The primaries are often very lean at heavy throttle and should be richened up.

i pulled the hanger & rods that wre in the car, S hanger but no number on the rods. i put in the M hanger with DR rods, it doesn't bog. Is the S hanger better than M hanger for DR rods?
