Did I just kill my in tank pump?

Hi all. I have been jumping the 2 wires on the relay plug for the pump to keep the fuel pump going to run my car, now that it's carbed. I tried to hook a switch to the wires on the plug to manually switch it on and off from inside the car, and when I tried to start it, the light on the switch went out and now the fuel pump will not kick on whether I jump it or not. Is there anything I can check, or did I probably kill the pump? It went from working fine to nothing. No noise, no nothing.

What kind of fuel pressure regulator are you using?

I have an aeromotive reg with a return line setup on it. It's the correct one for going from an FI pump to carb.

There is no fuse. At least not in the fuse box. I went through every fuse in there and they are all fine. I ran a wire from the pump to my battery and it came on so something else is messed up, but I have no clue what.

Also. I DID NOT TOUCH anything on the car, but when I fired it back up, now it wants to stall at idle, and seems like once it gets to higher RPM's it's fine. I pulled a plug and it is pitch black! What the heck could be wrong? Like I said, I havn't touched a single thing since earlier today, and it was running great!?!?!
