Edelbrock 600 too big?
I have an Edelbrock 600 on my stock 305 (see sig). I'm having trouble with the engine flooding when the engine is warming up. What I'm trying to determine is if the carb is too big for the engine, or if it's just adjusted too rich.
I know E-brocks are easy to adjust...is it something someone with little mechanical experience can do? About all I've done under that hood is an oil change.
Another possibility is that the cowl motor isn't really functioning...but I think the carb is the more likely possibility.

600 CFM certainly isn't too big. Check Edelbrock's website for an electronic version of the carb manual. It has detailed instructions for tuning.
