Hi,
a question would a edelbrock xc8 intake manifold fit under-beneath a ramair hood ?

Sure, if you don't put a carb on top of it:-)Seriously, I doubt if anyone here has ever tried it. A 4" cowl hood and a 14x2" air cleaner (good past 400 HP) might do it.
