Stock LG4 fuel pump(s) for my 350?

Hi @ all,

at the moment we are finishing my engine swap an now I have 1 or 2 questions ;-)

In my old car the engine was running with a TBI in tank pump + AFPR without any problems.

My new car is a 87 Z28 and was equipped with the LG4. Now I have read a few threads and learned that the 87 cars have 2 fuel pumps...anyway...my only question is, will the stock LG4 fuel pump(s) support my engine? You can see the specs in my signature.
Greetings,

Simon

Shouldn't be a problem if it is all in good condition. The '87 LG4 in-tank electric is a pusher pump in the same league as the TBI pump.

An upgrade to the mechanical is the Carter M6626. A light-weight pump push rod will help it keep up in the higher RPMs.

Your MPH seems pretty high for your ET. Traction issues?

Thanks, that sounds good. So the mech. pump is somewhat of an pressure regulator itself!? If I remember right the TBI pump was able to deliver 14psi...

Yes, traction for sure. The suspension is pretty stiff because it is more a road racer...I have once started a thread: "should I have better ET" ;-)
Greetings,

Simon
