I dont know where i should mount my electric fuel pump? and where is the relay for the stock in tank pump? because i dont want to drop the tank i just want to disconnect the relay for the stock so it doesnt work any more. Re: Electric Fuel Pump Help

I think the relay is on the firewall right behind the brake booster and I think the pump should be as close to the tank as possible.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Help

the pump is supposed to be as close to the tank as possible, and lower than the tank if possible, or st least as low as you can get it.

Relay is behind the booster i believe.

Im not sure if the new pump will be able to preform well without removing the old pump from the tank first.

Whats wrong with the old pump? with a different regulator it will work just fine with the carb motor.

Nothing is wrong with the old pump i just want to do it right and not half *** and just throw a mallary 4309 regulator in there. Even tho i took out the computer and harness will i still need to disconect the relay. And what is the relay that is under the car by the gas tank its on the backseat i dont know what the relay is.
