I have a 1990 camaro rs it has a 305 tbi L03, i have a pair of H.O heads off an 87 iroc 305 tpi that i plan on using. I am leaning towards getting a cam and converting it to carb. dont have to worry about emissions in my state. Do I have to worry about an Edelbrock Rpm intake bolting up to the heads? what do i have to do for fuel pressure. what kind of carb should i get? Will all my gauges work? and what will i have to do for wiring if i want electric choke? Any other ideas please let me know. I am not spending a ton of money. and i am using these heads. what type of cam should i get as far as lift and stuff. I'm looking for good throttle response and dont want i crazy idle that sounds like crap. Please help me i would like to achieve close to the 275-280 or more horse mark. I also have flowmaster muffler and flowtech headers are coming! please help me out

you could get an aftermarket tb and have a better setup than a carb. That's what I would do, and planning to do.

 

There are aftermarket TB's? Mine was converted to carb by the previous owner and I wanna convert it back to TBI but he cut all the wiring...good luck on your swap though if you wanna sell the wiring harness and computer out of your car let me know lol

 

I didn't know your wiring harness was altered. I have a carbed 305 in my iroc, and it runs great. The tbi in my rs is a smoother induction than a carb, but I am old school, and carbs are great. I bet you could find a harness for your camaro though, but I'm not sure what the price would be. I bet it would be a bite in the wallet.
